Days of Our Lives Recap January 22 2021
The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, January 22, 2021, features Gwen’s past coming to light as she dropped bomb after bomb on Jack and Jennifer.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) relayed her whole sad story to Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Cady McClain). Her mother was a cocktail waitress named Tiffany Rizczech back in Chicago. Jack did not remember that name. He even swore he never met her and definitely did not know he had another daughter.
Gwen went on with her tale of woe. She knows for a fact Jack knew about her because she and her mother came to Salem decades ago. Her mother was turned away by Jack. Instead, he cut her mom monthly checks sent out by his secretary.
Poor Gwen did not have an easy life. Her mother moved them to England, got into drugs, died young, and Gwen became a ward of the state. While Jack was sorry to hear how hard Gwen had it, he maintained he had no idea she existed.
Things went off the rails when Jack offered to cut her a check. No, Dad, I don’t want your money, I want your love! Gwen kicked them out of her room with a final warning she would not stop until his life was more miserable than she was.
Meanwhile, Abigail (Marci Miller) got the story from Chad (Billy Flynn). The whole situation seemed unbelievable at first but the more chad revealed, the more Gwen’s revenge made sense. She was especially devastated to hear Gwen was the one behind her drugging and not Gabi.
Meanwhile, fireworks exploded at the Titan office when Kate (Lauren Koslow) confronted Jake (Brandon Barash) and Gabi (Camila Banus). Jake maintained he was innocent in the flirty scene. Gabi was more than happy to bear the responsibility.
The ladies threw stones at each other’s glass houses until Jake had enough. He dismissed Gabi and made it clear she was not competition for his new girlfriend. That was all Kate needed to hear.
Gabi was shaking off the scene in the square when she came upon Chad. She was shocked when he apologized for accusing her of drugging his wife. He admitted it was the nanny and gave Gabi a quick rundown about Gwen. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
