The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, December 8, 2020, features Gwen throwing a fit, Chad going too far, and Rafe taking back the reigns.
Abigail (Marci Miller) came upon Gwen (Emily O’Brien) at the park mere seconds after the baddie got off the phone bragging to Rolf. All was well until Jack (Matthew Ashford) came along too. Gwen was furious to learn Abigail and her dad made up. How dare they!
Jack and Abigail left to hang out with Thomas and a Harry Potter puzzle. Once they were gone, Gwen had a major meltdown. She beat up a park bench screaming about the injustices in her world.
Kate (Lauren Koslow) woke up in Jake’s (Brandon Barash) bed again. They discussed what, and who, Jake really wants and he made it clear Kate is the woman for him. Oh, joy!
Chad (Billy Flynn) then interrupted them by banging down the door. Kate managed to hide while Jake was confronted by his brother. The men had it out over work and Jake’s secret love life.
Chad was so upset and suspicious he went home to confront his wife. He thought back to finding her sweater, Abigail inviting Jake to Thanksgiving, and finding her asleep in his lap. Are you having an affair with Jake? Abigail was stunned.
Jennifer (Cady McClain) woke up with a huge hangover from hell. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) did her best to nurse her. Jennifer swore she would never drink with Bonnie again. She went out for some fresh air just in time to catch Gwen’s tantrum.
As for Bonnie (Judi Evans), she taunted and teased Justin (Wally Kurth). The talk eventually led to flirting and then to a dinner invitation. While it is not a date, it is still sort of a date.
Meanwhile, Abe (James Reynolds) went to see Rafe (Galen Gering). He was thrilled to have his friend back in town. They talked about Hope and Ciara. Rafe regretted leaving when he did. He may never get Hope back now.
Rafe may not get the girl, but how about a job? Abe asked him to come back on as Commissioner. Rafe readily accepted. It was not a moment too soon. Abe updated Rafe on Allie’s rape, Tripp’s DNA match, and Ava being alive. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
