Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, April 9, 2020, features Kayla on pins and needles, Sarah’s life falling apart, and Xander finally gaining acceptance.
Days of our Lives Spoiler Highlights
It was a bittersweet day for Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). Her daughter was marrying the love of her life but Maggie wouldn’t be there to see it. Luckily, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) stopped by to show off her dress. The women cried tears of sorrow and joy as they talked about the past, the present, and Sarah’s bright future.
Kiriakis Pride
Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) shared some touching moments with Victor (John Aniston) before walking down the aisle. They agreed to take the Mickey secret to their grave and Victor gifted him with a family heirloom. He deserves it, alright.
Xander has not only proven his loyalty to Victor but everyone else too. Victor then took off to be with Maggie. He did not want her alone on her daughter’s big day. Little did they know Sarah was not going to get married, the secret would come out, and everything was about to fall apart.

Mickey Is Not Your Daughter
Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) made it a point to track down Sarah before she made the mistake of marrying Xander. They caught her outside the mansion and Eric brought her back to his place. He sat her down as just the two of them and told her Mickey was not their child. Sarah was flabbergasted.
Kayla Got Her Miracle
Over at the hospital, Steve (Stephen Nichols) was out of surgery but had trouble coming around. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) worried he would never come around. She sat vigil while Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Justin (Wally Kurth) stayed at the hub. The men talked about what would come next if Steve came back. Justin made it clear he would not stand in true love’s way.
Kayla continued to beg and plead with Steve to open his eye. She blamed herself and was sure she did something terribly wrong. Roman (Josh Taylor) gave Kayla some much-needed reassurance. Steve would not have wanted to live as SteVano. Everyone else agreed.
It was much to Kayla’s delight that Steve did wake up. However, it is yet to be seen what state he would be in now. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
