The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, July 1, 2020, features Lani’s wedding going off the rails and back on again, Vivian getting a shock, and Ciara realizing Claire may not be the best person to have by her side.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Vivian (Louise Sorel) was out for blood and she meant business. She pulled out a gun, pointed it at Lani (Sal Stowers), and was ready to shoot. Of course, she had to do the classic villain rant first, which gave Eli (Lamon Archey) time to text Rafe for help. The brave groom pulled out his phone and sent the SOS text right in front of Viv’s face without her noticing a thing.
Rafe To The Rescue
Rafe (Galen Gering) made it just in time to disarm the angry mom, cuff her, and turn her world upside down. He told Viv all about Jake (Brandon Barash) and explained her son may still be alive. Vivian didn’t believe it, at least until Rafe showed her Jake’s picture.
Mr. And Mrs. Grant
Lani had just about enough and thought her wedding was doomed. She asked for a sign to go on and she got one when her mom came through the door. Tamara was back and gave Lani the strength to go on. Eli and Lani reclaimed their places at the altar and became husband and wife, and even jumped the broom as per the African-American tradition.

Jake’s Fate Is Unsealed
As for Jake, he was bombarded by Gabi (Camila Banus) again. The results were in and she demanded he go with her. He joked she probably faked them and she slapped him clear across the face and stormed off to the hospital. It seems Jake got curious because he met up with her in the hub and they opened the envelope together.
A Huge Red Flag
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) was in wedding prep hell trying to find a dress but her maid of honor came to the rescue. Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) got an exclusive delivery from the hottest shop in town and Ciara was thrilled. She said yes to the dress and all was well — until it wasn’t.
Claire left to take the dresses back to the shop and not long after Ciara got a horrible call. Her dream dress was ruined. How? Why? By whom? The shop had no answers, only bad news. To say Ben wasn’t surprised is an understatement. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
