The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, June 9, 2021, features Sami grappling with a guilty conscience, Lucas making a heartfelt plea, Xander making matters worse, and Paulina wondering if she really should prioritize big business vs. family commitments.
Sami DiMera (Alison Sweeney) is a woman possessed. No, not THAT kind of possessed – it’s not genetic. Instead, she’s consumed with achieving one goal: out that “skanky Nicole” as an adulteress. Sure, it’ll devastate Eric (Greg Vaughan), but in the long run, he’ll thank Sami…she hopes.
Armchair psychiatrist and would-be partner-in-crime Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) accused his ex of projecting – after all, it’s Sami who’s cheated on her husband…twice! And Lucas has another shock in store for Sami: he wants to get back together.
As he so rightfully pointed out, they can’t resist each other, they still love each other immensely, and they never fail to keep the other suitably entertained…what more could you want out of a relationship?
And truth be told, Sami seemed poised to actually give the proposal some serious thought. That is, until the doorbell chimed, and she was greeted by the smiling face of her no-longer-charred hubby!
Xander (Paul Telfer), in an effort to prove that gallant men do still exist, confronted the dreaded Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry) and ordered him to stay well and truly clear of Gwen (Emily O’Brien).
Unfortunately, Xander’s actions only served two purposes. First, he learned that there is definitely more to the story concerning Gwen’s miscarriage. And second, the threat made Dr. Snyder very, very angry.
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) hemmed and hawed over whether or not she should come clean to Eric about her affair, and despite some sound advice from Abe (James Reynolds) – who knows a thing or do about unfaithful wives – she decided to let the matter rest.
Meanwhile, Paulina (Jackée Harry) debated the merits of coming clean to Chanel (Precious Way) about her actual plans for the Horton Town Square, but she ended up keeping mum and joining the young woman in the kitchen to whip up some sweet potato pie.
