Soap fans know that John McCook started out his daytime career as Lance on The Young and the Restless. Now, The Bold and the Beautiful actor is going to show up on the hour-long CBS soap opera but he’s not returning as Lance.

John McCook Visits The Young and the Restless Set

According to Soap Opera Digest, Sally (Courtney Hope) is going to visit McCook’s BB character Eric. Viewers recall that Sally left Los Angeles and moved to Genoa City, YR’s locale, after making a heartfelt plea to Wyatt (Darin Brooks) for forgiveness and a second chance after her scheme to win him back blew up in her face.

“[I]t was shot on YR’s balcony, where they put up a very nice limbo kind of set that’s supposed to be an outdoor patio at Forrester Creations,” McCook says. “Courtney is a sweet, wonderful girl, who’s very conscientious and I really enjoyed working with her again.”

McCook will appear on YR on Monday, June 14, Wednesday, June 16, and Thursday, June 17. “I think crossing over is a wonderful wrinkle for us to do as much as possible,” McCook adds. As veteran BB fans recall, BB’s Eric and Sally’s great aunt, Sally Spectra (the late, great Darlene Conley) shared a friendship.

Eric tricked Sally into thinking he was romantically interested in her in order to get her to not use some stolen designs in her fashion show. Later, Sally forgave Eric and they became friends. Sally went to work at Forrester Creations after she stepped down at Spectra Fashions.

Conley passed away in early 2007 after a battle with stomach cancer. The show opted to not write Conley’s death into the show. Sally is off in Europe, enjoying retirement. Conley is also known to YR fans as baby-stealer Rose DeVille, who coerced Nina (Tricia Cast) into giving up her baby. Years later, Nina was reunited with her long-lost son Ronan (Jeff Branson). The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
