Days of our Lives recap for Monday, May 13 features a day of blame, heartbreak, and blackmail. Xander went after his wife, Hope ended her marriage, and Ted covered his tracks!
Rafe (Galen Gering) relived the accident and blamed himself for Holly’s demise. There were so many “what if’s” – what if he didn’t chase the kidnapper? What if he got to the car in time? What if he was faster, stronger, better? Lani gave him a listening ear and cared for David while he worked through his guilt.
Meanwhile, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) tried to comfort Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). He was tasked with protecting Holly and felt like he failed. Thankfully, there is another child in town he CAN do right by — his nephew. Ciara pushed Ben to get more involved and make sure David gets to know his uncle.
Sadly, that was easier said than done. Lani (Sal Stowers) had a stronghold on the tiny tot. The helicopter non-mom was not letting a guy like Ben near the baby.
Over at the station, Ted (Gilles Marini) was up to his neck in damage control. The chase was planned, the crash was not. Now, he had two dead bodies on his hand and child MUST come back with a positive ID to Holly — or else! That was the only way any of this was going to work.

Back at the mansion, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Xander (Paul Telfer) went head to head. Xander was there to reclaim his wife at all costs. He still had dirt on Nicole and threatened to use it.
Brady stepped in and did what he could but Xander is Xander and he was determined to get his way.
Meanwhile, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) tried to comfort Eric (Greg Vaughan). Holly’s loss and Nicole’s anger hurt his soul and he couldn’t stop the tears. He was in a bad way and losing hope.
