The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, April 7, 2021, features Ciara getting awfully judgmental, and Gwen…gulp…apologizing!
Though she couldn’t decide whether she wanted to scream or cry, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) did know that she wanted to get up and out of her hospital bed. But who should she run into at the nurses’ station but Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Claire (Isabel Durant) – the Necktie Killer and the psycho who tried to set her on fire.
Make that the psycho who tried to set you on fire TWICE corrected Claire. Ciara continued to spin out of control, and only Theo’s (Cameron Johnson) comforting embrace could calm her.
She’s done trying to remember, Ciara insisted. Screw Ben and Claire and their feelings. She’ll just continue on with the gap in her memory. What’s the worst that could happen?
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) showed up at the DiMera mansion, unannounced and unwelcomed…but at least she came bearing what sounded like a sincere apology.
Chad accepted, and then Gwen dropped the bomb. The apology came with a string attached. Would her former mark pretty please put in a good word for her with his wife?
Meanwhile, Jack (Matthew Ashford) was doing that very same thing. So what do you say Abby (Marci Miller)? Can’t you just forgive and forget?
Having apparently never been taught the finer points of stranger danger, Chanel (Precious Way) followed Xander (Paul Telfer) back to his hotel room in the hopes of eliciting some sparkling conversation.
Instead, she had to listen to a whole lot of “I thought’s.” I thought I had found the love of my life. I thought she had forgiven me my trespasses. I thought we were going to get married. I thought she was trustworthy and faithful. I thought bourbon went with everything.
Luckily, Chanel was saved by Xander’s overly friendly gesture of handing her a wallet full of cash and credit cards. Why yes, she would like to get to know Mr. CEO of Titan Industries a little bit more.
