To say that Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) was displeased at being locked inside Ben’s apartment would be an understatement, and the young woman was further distressed when she actually began to remember snippets of her pre-amnesia life.

Luckily for her, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) arrived in the nick of time and kept her from recalling that she actually loved and adored her husband. Much to Theo’s chagrin, Ben insisted that he wouldn’t be signing the divorce papers that Ciara brought – not the ones he burned, not the ones he tore to shreds, and not the ones she’d inevitably bring a few days hence.

DAYS Recap: Explain Yourself

When Abe Carver (James Reynolds) demanded an explanation for her actions, Paulina (Jackée Harry) spun him a story concerning her past relationship with an abusive, older, and wealthy gentleman. Abe admired her tenacity in getting herself out of the situation, and building her real-estate empire – but he also questioned whether or not she was being honest this time.

A distraught Chanel (Raven Bowens) sought out Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) shoulder to cry on. After suitably recovering, Chanel explained her mother’s treachery and apologized to her friend for being unable to launch their business. Allie told her bestie to buck up – they’ll open that bakery come hell or high water!

While fireworks exploded overhead, Chanel and Allie leaned in for yet another kiss; Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) jealously spied on Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) canoodling; Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) celebrated their one year anniversary; and a lonely Paulina wept over the circumstances that she’d created.
