The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, September 1, 2021, features Philip Kiriakis letting his imagination run away with him, Ava Vitali and Rafe Hernandez having a super serious talk, and 3/4 of the Chanel Dupree/Allie Horton/Tripp Johnson/Johnny DiMera quadrangle getting some sage advice.
He wasn’t quite sure what he expected to find behind the door, but Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) knew that he was furious over finding Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) snuggled up next to ex-hubby Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). During the subsequent confrontation, Philip somehow got labeled the bad guy, and Chloe issued him an ultimatum: trust her or the relationship is over.
Philip chose to do the latter, and Chloe rewarded him by not occupying the same bed as Brady…which she never should have done in the first place. Yeah, this is a coupling that will last the long haul.
Ava (Tamara Braun) has had enough, thank you very much. Her bags are packed, and she’s ready to hit the road…but not before giving Rafe (Galen Gering) one final fright – the last thing he wanted to be confronted by, in his kitchen at 12AM, was a stone-faced Ava – telling him that its OVER.
But wait, says Rafe. I was ready to stop being friends with Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) to make you happy – shouldn’t that count for something? And count it does. But, Ava just has to know…does Rafe really want her, or Nicole. He swears that Ava’s the only one for him, and that’s enough to get Ava to unpack her worldly goods. Yeah, this is a coupling that will last the long haul.
Nicole had some news for Allie (Lindsay Arnold): Girl, you jealous! Likewise, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) warned Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) that Allie’s just a tad too interested in her love life; and heck no, Chanel shouldn’t stop seeing Johnny (Carson Boatman) just because it will make Allie happy.
Opposite this, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) tried – and failed miserably – to be a father to Johnny and take an interest in the young man’s life…but it was all a front to lure him to the DiMera side. Chanel and Johnny; yeah, this is a coupling that will last the long haul.
