Days of our Lives Recap: Calista Eyes Xander’s $1 Million Prize

The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, August 30, 2021, features Calista Lockhart making demands of sister-in-law Bonnie Lockhart – and being kind enough to present her with a solution to her predicament.

With Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) on the scene, it was cover story time…and the best Bonnie (Judi Evans) could come up with was that Calista (Cady Huffman) had taken her up on a not entirely serious offer to attend the upcoming wedding. Being the solid, stand-up guy that he is, Justin believed every word that was said.

In private, Calista warned Bonnie that if she didn’t hand off the $1million she absconded with decades earlier, then Calista would happily turn Bonnie into the police for shooting Harrison. And since she had the murder weapon with Bonnie’s fingerprints on it, it’s pretty safe to say that it would be back to the big house for the soon-to-be Mrs. Justin Kiriakis.

DAYS Recap: A Million Miseries

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has made good on one of his promises to Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) – the supposed drug dealer is a free man. However, Xander isn’t about to hand over cash that Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) paid him until EJ works his black magic and reinstates him at Basic Black. This is not what EJ wants to hear, but it’s most welcome news to an eavesdropping Calista. She wants a million dollars, and Xander’s got a million dollars.

DOOL Recap: Dinner Date Disaster

Awkward doesn’t begin to describe the disaster that was the double date between Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).

First, the foursome had to wrap their heads around the fact that, out of all the people Chanel would happen to run into, and develop feelings for, it would be Allie’s twin brother. Then, there was the matter of Chanel trying to reconcile the fact that Allie and Johnny are twins, but with different fathers.

Oh, and of course there was the elephant in the room – namely that Allie and Chanel shared a number of kisses. The entire exercise was one in futility. Everybody ended up mad at someone else, and no one got to order a starter, let alone a main course. Disappointment all around.
