The Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, September 20, 2019, features life and death struggles for your favorite Salemites. Kate hovered near death, Sarah prepared for the worst, Jen fought back, and Kristen decided to replay an old scheme.
Lucas Came Home
Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) condition brought Lucas (Bryan Datillo) to her side. He tried to coax his mom to open her eyes, but, of course, she didn’t. In reality, she may never open them again. Sarah had the daunting task of telling the family Kate is getting worse and not getting better.
This was great news for Vivian (Robin Strasser). The longer Kate stays under (which Viv hopes is forever and ever) the better it is for her. She and Stefan (Brandon Barash) had a rather odd celebration of sorts where he agreed to keep his mother’s secret.
Jen Went Missing, Again
Dr. Shah went completely off the rails and decided if he couldn’t have Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), no one could. In fact, he decided she’s never leaving him again. Luckily, Jenn played him like a fiddle and got him to leave the room long enough to text a very worried Jack (Matthew Ashford).
The race was on to get to Shah’s hotel room and rescue Jen. Poor Jack (Matthew Ashford) was already beside himself, especially when Kayla replayed a rather terrifying story of Shah’s latest temper tantrums. Knowing the doc was a loose cannon, Jack and JJ (Casey Moss) made a mad dash. Unfortunately, they were mere minutes too late. They found the ropes but Jen was gone.

My Baby
Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) finalized her heartbreaking plans to end her pregnancy and took a few minutes to herself. It’s a life-altering decision but she tried to stay strong.
Little did she know, someone already had big plans for her baby. Kristen was delighted when Xander (Paul Telfer) told her about the pregnancy but she was over-the-moon to find out Sarah wasn’t keeping the baby. She decided to go back to her old ways and play a new game of steal-the-embryo.
Kristen’s only mistake was telling Xander everything. Will he ring the alarm bells and warn Sarah? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
