“Little” is not a word someone would use to describe the imposing Xander Cook on Days Of Our Lives. Both Xander and his portrayer, Paul Telfer, strike a commanding pose. But, that doesn’t mean there aren’t other imposing figures!
A Twitter fan account devoted to Telfer recently posted a photo of the actor when he appeared in the TV movie Spartacus, which starred Goran Visnjic in the title role of the slave who led a rebellion.
Telfer was cast as Gannicus, and when he showed up for a wardrobe fitting in Bulgaria, he thought someone in the costume department was having fun with him when they referred to him as “Little Paul.”
“I said ‘ha ha, yes, coz I’m so big right?'” Telfer responded. “They said “no, THAT’S Big Paul” and pointed to the amazing gentle giant that is @PaulKynman : ) #humbled.”
As you can see in the photo below, Kynman, who plays Crixus, stands 6’5″ tall while Telfer is listed as “merely” 6’2″.

A poster lamented that alas, Spartacus isn’t available on DVD. However, Telfer noted that it actually is! “‘Spartacus,’ you can. I believe you’re thinking of ‘Young Alexander The Great,’ which you cannot get.”

I said “ha ha, yes, coz I’m so big right?”
