The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, July 20, 2021, features Ben Weston deciding to forgo fighting the good fight, Allie Horton letting her true loyalty be known, Philip Kiriakis deciding to do what Lucas Horton can not, and Nicole Walker Brady deciding her future.

After learning from Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) that Ciara (Victoria Konefal) has succeeded in having their marriage annulled – courtesy of a lawyer who owed her Pop-Pop a favor – Ben decided that he was done fighting for a woman who may never remember the love they once shared. That doesn’t sit at all well with Claire, who did her best to rally her bestie round.
DAYS Recap: A Romantic At Heart
Meanwhile, despite having just received an offer to serve as maid of honor at Ciara and Theo Carver’s (Cameron Johnson) upcoming wedding, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) did her best to remind Ciara of her other joyous day – conveniently skipping over the little details, like the venue being blown to kingdom come. In the end, Allie’s prodding failed to spark a memory, good or bad, so she accepted the position on offer, but she wasn’t particularly happy about it.
DOOL Recap: Brother’s Keeper
Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) had a suggestion for Lucas (Bryan Dattilo): let Nicole (Arianne Zucker) be the one to hand Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) missive over to little brother EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) – that way, his hands are (technically) clean.

Lucas carefully weighed the pros and cons, and decided that he just couldn’t do that to either Nicole or Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney)…but Philip decided that he most certainly could.
Days of our Lives Recap: Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen
Elsewhere, Nicole and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) hashed out the latest blow to their relationship, and Nicole declared that it’d probably be best if Eric just returned to Africa and never came back – at least he’d have the life he truly wanted. Do-gooders…who needs ’em?
