The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, July 22, 2021, features Ben Weston and his angels – Claire Brady and Allie Horton – working together to right a wrong, and Nicole Walker Brady proving that revenge is a dish best served lukewarm.

The hits just kept coming for bridezilla Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and her intended, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson); not only will their wedding be missing the bride’s mother, and grandparents, but a business emergency has precluded Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) from serving as Theo’s best man.
Now, the latter problem was easily solved – Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) volunteered herself to be Theo’s “best woman” (how very Cass Winthrop and Felicia Gallant of them!).
But what was proving to be the biggest overall pain, was the wedding itself. Turns out, no one except Theo is really looking forward to it. Lani might have offered her services, but she was just being a good sister; she agrees with the likes of Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and wife Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison), and her pop Abe Carver (James Reynolds) – this isn’t a wedding that should be allowed to proceed.
And as for Ciara…no matter how much she protested, it was obvious that she was starting to have second thoughts all her own.

DAYS Recap: Special Delivery
Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) had the perfect tonic for an ailing Nicole (Arianne Zucker): Kirsten DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) letter denouncing Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) for her adultery with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo).
Off to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), Nicole ran. He wasn’t particularly pleased to see his baby-stealing ex-wife, but he was suitably intrigued that she’d managed to get her hands on the missive that had been promised to him. Curiosity gave way to rage when he read its contents, and after making contact with Kristen, he returned home to his, “loving, faithful wife.”
DOOL Recap: History Repeats Itself
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), Claire (Isabel Durant), and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) put their heads together and came up with the following: at the appropriate time, Allie will abandon Ciara and signal Ben; Ben will, in turn, pose as his lady love’s chauffer and collect her from the Brady house; meanwhile, Claire will don the bridal finery and present herself to the gathered congregation. There’s a lot that could have gone wrong here…and yet the trio pulled it off sublimely! The next new episode will be seen on August 9, after the Olympics.
