The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, July 5, 2021, features Ben Weston refusing to roll over and say die, and Paulina Price’s nearest and dearest telling her all about herself.

In a display similar to what one would expect from a petulant child, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) ripped up the divorce papers that Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) went to all that trouble to bring.
He then ran around like a chicken with his head cut off, shoving anything that he thought might jog his beloved memories into her line of sight. When his efforts proved to be all for naught, and Ciara made a move to exit stage left, Ben cut her off at the pass, and locked her inside his apartment….but don’t worry; it’s not controlling behavior, it’s a totes romantic gesture.
DAYS Recap: Gall and Greed
Paulina’s (Jackée Harry) been caught out, her plan to demolish Horton Town Square has been halted (for the moment), and the time for all her detractors to line up and read her for filth had arrived. Abe Carver (James Reynolds) was the first to take aim and fire; Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) took second position – then returned to the shambles that was their anniversary party.

Meanwhile, Chanel Dupree (Precious Way, in her last day in the role) called out her manipulative mama – then proved that she doesn’t possess the same forgiving spirit that Paulina does.
Back at Julie’s Place, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) got a bit of backlash over his plan to marry Ciara, but also just as much praise. Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) weren’t exactly jumping for joy, but Lani seemed A-okay with her brother taking advantage of a woman still not fully in control of her mental faculties.
DOOL Recap: Private Party
Over at University Hospital, John Black (Drake) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) got up to a whole lotta nothing – unless one counts their recapitulation of Abe and Paulina’s nascent romance and Ben and Ciara’s plight as something. At least their presence was lovely and comforting.
