The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, April 9, 2021, features Ava coming clean, Sami bearing her soul – and a few other bits – and Jan winning her latest battle with Belle.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlight
While packing up his belongings in anticipation of his move back to Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans), Tripp (Lucas Adams) decided to come clean about his whereabouts the night his brother died.
Steve told Tripp to go to the police, but the police came to him – courtesy of Ava (Tamara Braun) telling Rafe (Galen Gering) all about the visit Tripp paid to Charlie’s apartment.
Tripp thought his mama had confessed to killing his brother, but she admitted that she’d thrown him under the bus and that Rafe was there to interrogate him.
Don’t worry, insisted Tripp. I didn’t actually commit a crime. Except maybe one involving excessive knocking. Well isn’t that just great, chimed in Rafe. Yet another false start; yet another waste of my time.
The Ties That Bind
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) paid Sami (Alison Sweeney) a visit and quickly deduced that something was bugging his ex. After much prodding, Sami finally admitted that she and her husband were having some…marriage difficulties.
Surprise, surprise. You mean to say that the man who was Lazarus-ed, force-fed copious amounts of drugs, and then burned beyond recognition has a few hang-ups? Who would have guessed that he might no longer be interested in the pleasures of the flesh?
Lucas understood Sami’s pain – yes, Sami’s the one in pain here. E.J. who? And as everybody in soapland knows, the best way to get somebody out of your head is to get underneath somebody else. Cue the couple formerly known as Lumi getting hot n’ heavy.
Deal Or No Deal
John (Drake Hogestyn) has the foresight to know that what he did to Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) was wrong – hence his apology – but he’s also not at all sorry for doing it. Heck, the woman could make Gandhi want to strangle her.
And John’s perfectly willing to go to prison to ensure that the vile fiend pays for kidnapping his beloved Tink. But Tink *ahem* Belle (Martha Madison) ain’t about to let Daddy do the noble thing.
Hence her making a legally binding deal with the devil. If Jan doesn’t press charges against John, then Belle won’t press charges against Jan. It’s a win-win for everybody. Except for John’s conscience. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
