The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, April 14, 2021, features Abigail reeling from Gwen’s shocking revelation, Jake doling out advice to Ben, Victor sticking his ore in, and Theo acting awfully thirsty.
To say that Abigail (Marci Miller) reacted poorly to Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) pregnancy announcement would be an understatement. First, she accused Gwen of out and out lying. Then she called the entire farce a horror show and insisted that Gwen “take care of it” forthwith.
Jack’s attempts at playing peacemaker failed spectacularly, and he was left to tend to a bereft Gwen who contemplated her sister’s cruel words. Should she terminate her pregnancy in an effort to bring about some peace? Should she ignore the strong advice and carry to term? Does she even want the baby growing inside her?
On paper, Gabi (Camila Banus) and Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) just shouldn’t work. In fact, they don’t exactly have much in common – except a fondness for winding Kate (Lauren Koslow) up.
But there’s definitely an attraction to one another. And they’re both trying to mend a recently broken heart. So why not heal together? But not over dinner. Dinner’s too…complicated. But lunch, that’s an A-Okay meal to bond over.
Justin (Wally Kurth) paid Ciara (Victoria Konefal) a visit and came bearing a letter from Victor (Jon Aniston). In it, good ole Pop Pop alluded to the disaster that was Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara’s wedding. Just another example of why Ciara’s decided to forgo remembering anything about her life as Mrs. Weston.
Theo (Cameron Johnson) paid Chad (Billy Flynn) a visit, and the two caught up over a game of chess – Stephano would be so proud! Chad managed to elicit Theo’s true feelings for Ciara, though both men agreed that it might be best if Theo stayed far, far away from that whole mess.
Meanwhile, Jake (Brandon Barash) once again encouraged Ben to use Rolf’s (William Utay) memory serum on Ciara. Broken record much? Seriously, it’s like he’s been paid to promote the product.
Digression aside, Ben finally relented and collected a syringe full of the concoction. Then he set off for his wife’s hospital room. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
