The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, May 20, 2021, features two surprising lip- locks, Abigail saying her goodbye, and Gwen coming somewhat clean.

Abigail (Marci Miller) may not have purposefully pushed Gwen (Emily O’Brien) down the DiMera staircase, but she is letting her bitch of a sister push her out of Salem…at least temporarily.
That news doesn’t sit well with either Gabi (Camila Banus) or Chad (Billy Flynn), but neither can dissuade her from making her eventual exit. Perhaps Chad should have sided with his wife a bit more than his side piece, huh?
Kiss But Don’t Tell
Upon receiving divorce papers from Ciara (Victoria Konefal), Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) made a beeline for Claire (Isabel Durant) in hopes that she would talk him out of doing something stupid. And she did. But the then duo turned right around and did something incredibly foolish: they kissed!
Meanwhile, Shawn (Brandon Beemer) laid out a foolproof plan to lull Jan (Heather Lindell) into a false sense of security and get her to confess to Charlie’s (Mike Manning) murder.

Belle (Martha Madison) wasn’t so sure that she’s into her husband’s whole “seduce and conquer” scheme…but beggars can’t be choosers. Step one, stage an argument. Step two, Shawn cries on Jan’s shoulder. Check, and check. Step three, get kissed by the crazy lady, took everyone except Jan by surprise.
To Tell The Truth
After bearing witness to Jack (Matthew Ashford) being verbally eviscerated by Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) for protecting her, Gwen decided it was time to come clean about one of the two secrets she’s keeping.
So, while she continued to let Pops believe that the fall she suffered at the DiMera house led to her miscarriage, Gwen did cop to lying about Abby giving her a helping hand down the stairs. Jack thanked her for her honesty – then made zero moves to call and apologize to his good daughter for believing the worst in her.
Perhaps Julie’s news that Abby’s leaving town will jolt him into an apologetic mood. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
