The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, June 18, 2020, features Gabi’s dramatic rescue, a solemn warning by Gwen, Sarah grieving Mickey, and a reveal that has everyone questioning if Jake really is Stefan.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Getting the forged book into the hands of the goons became quite an ordeal when Xander (Paul Telfer) tried to snatch it. He was reading that, give it back! A struggle ensued but the trio won out and Jake (Brandon Barash) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) were on their way.

Unfortunately, their plan didn’t work. One look at the book and the boss’s right-hand man, Luca, knew it wasn’t real. Jimmy put the knife to Gabi’s (Camila Banus) throat and threatened to end her.

Elani To the Rescue

Luckily, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) were there to save the day. They shot Luca, survived the standoff with Jimmy, and saved the day. Lani was quite a cop, even suffering through violent morning sickness to get the job done.

It’s Not Over Yet

Back at Marlena’s, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) revealed what the book really meant to the mobsters. It had the names and account numbers the big boss needed. It seems when she met Jake a year and a half ago, he was a bookkeeper for the big man.

A year and a half, you say? Stefan died two years ago so it’s completely possible Gabi was right and he really was the DiMera heir. But, that’s a tale for another day.

By the time Ciara showed up and saw Gwen and the book she feared it was too little too late. John (Drake Hogestyn) decided to step in and deliver the goods. He was about to head out when Ben showed up and announced all was well, at least on their end. Not so fast, Gwen warned. If the boss wanted the book this wasn’t even close to over.

Sarah Mourned Her Daughter

Meanwhile, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) laid in bed after a failed attempt to have an affair. He was much too in love with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) to do “the deed.” It was an awkward scene and they agreed to never speak of it again.

Before they could get dressed, Xander (Paul Telfer) showed up. He was hurt but brushed it aside. He had a surprise for Sarah. He whisked her away to the cemetery where he showed her Mickey’s new headstone.

The gesture was not lost on Sarah. She was in tears from the moment she saw her daughter’s name and cried all the way through a heartfelt goodbye to her baby girl. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
