The Days of Our Lives recap for March 2-6, 2020, features a whole lot of characters doing it for themselves, although their efforts produced varying results.
It’s always important for characters to find solutions to their own problems. When Ciara (Victoria Konefal) realized that the Salem PD wasn’t going to be of much use in her quest to rescue Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), she took it upon herself to track down Jordan Ridgeway’s (Chrishell Stause) actual killer.
Once that goal was achieved, she kidnapped him, broke into a prison and forced him to confess his crime – all while keeping a handgun perfectly placed at his neck.
When Dr. Raynor (Victoria Platt) made her return to town, Victor (John Aniston) decided to eliminate her, Xander (Paul Telfer) decided to bribe her (again). Nicole (Arianne Zucker), who found the whole thing suspicious, decided to launch an investigation all her own.
When John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) learned of Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) plight, they immediately agreed to assist Justin (Wally Kurth) whatever the cost.
Which turned out to be bad news for pretty much everyone involved, except for SteVano (Stephen Nichols), who decided that in order truly possess his Queen of the Night, he had to first allow Dr. Rolf (William Utay) to tinker with her noggin.
“La famiglia.” Such an innocent word. Except when it’s used to trigger a Manchurian Candidate-like response in one’s own son.
SteVano: “Victor Kiriakis is as ruthless as they come…Perhaps some of that ruthlessness flows in his nephew’s veins as well.” Kayla: “Justin is nothing like Victor.” Well, actually, he did try to kill Adrienne’s (Judi Evans) lover, Emilio Ramirez, multiple times.
Gabi: “Ugh, this hospital has a horrible reputation. Medical malpractice, paternity mix-ups..” Sarah: “Malicious devices put into pacemakers.” Seriously, is Salem University Hospital the WORST soap opera hospital of all time or what? On no other sudser has a sixteen-year-old candy stripper been able to doctor paternity results…yes, we’re looking at you, Samantha Gene Brady!
Kristen: “You’re not a selfless martyr…you made a deal to save your own ass.” Gabi: “Isn’t that exactly the same way you got out of jail the last time?” It most certainly was. When Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was finally arrested for her impersonation of Nicole, she leveraged her knowledge of Nicole and Holly’s whereabouts.
SteVano: [to Marlena] “I am who I have always been: Stefano DiMera, the man who whisked you away to the Paris underground, took you out for nightly excursions to the opera, grand ballrooms -”
Notice he forgot to add, “And left you susceptible to the Prince of Darkness who overtook your person and used you to desecrate churches and ruin the entirety of Christmas 1994.” Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
