The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, June 18, 2021, features EJ taking stock and taking charge, Kate stepping up her devious game, and Sami stubbornly refusing to follow her heart.
Chad (Billy Flynn) is certainly not EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) favorite person at the moment. Sure, EJ still loves his baby brother, but good God man – how can you get so much, so very wrong? You cheat on your wife, you step down as head of DiMera Enterprises, and you allow some grease monkey to take over. Sheesh.
Luckily for all involved – except Jake (Brandon Barash) – EJ has a plan. He’ll take over. Or, at least, share the reigns with his siblings – except Jake.
Kate (Lauren Koslow) narrowly avoided getting caught out by a visiting Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna (Leann Hunley), and then she made yet another big boo-boo by noticing Gabi (Camila Banus) skulking around Jake’s bedroom. Luckily Gabi wears cheap, pungent perfume, that Kate could blame.
Once alone with her prey *ahem* we mean Jake, Kate cooed and thanked him profusely for his continued presence in her life…and then she well and truly stepped up her game by begging him to make love to her!
Philip K. Dick once wondered if androids dreamed of electric sheep; self-respecting DAYS fans know that Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) dream about their cute as a button ex-husbands.
But don’t get it twisted. That doesn’t mean that Sami wants Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) back…even if EJ is forcing her back into the DiMera fold.
And even if everyone else, from Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) to Roman (Josh Taylor), and probably even EJ and Sami themselves, knows that her decision is the wrong one. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
