Doug Davidson is The Young and the Restless’ longest-running cast member, having debuted on the CBS soap as Paul Williams in 1979! He hasn’t appeared on the show in the last several months however, he recently reconnected with some of his fellow stars from Genoa City – Lauralee Bell and Tricia Cast! The trio shared the highlights from their fun outing.

“I’m here having a little lunch with my friends,” Lauralee Bell (Christine) posted, revealing in a video, which can be seen below, that she is hanging out with Y&R pals Tricia Cast (Nina) and Davidson. After lunch, more fun was had when the trio of fan favorites swung on some swings.
As veteran YR fans recall, Cricket and Nina have a long relationship. The two weren’t always pals as Nina had sex with Phillip (Thom Bierdz), Cricket’s boyfriend. She became pregnant with Phillip Chancellor IV (AKA Chance). Over time, Cricket and Nina became pals. Nina supported her friend after she’d been raped and Cricket was there for Nina after Phillip (presumably) died.

After Christine (Cricket started using her birth name) split from Danny (Michael Damian), she fell in love with Paul (Doug Davidson). The two were married but split up due in no small part to a scheme by Michael (Christian Le Blanc) who hired Isabella (Eva Longoria) to seduce Paul.
Nina moved to California years ago to pursue her screenwriting career. Cast has reprised her role over the years for Kay’s (Jeanne Cooper) funeral, to meet her firstborn son Ronan (Jeff Branson), and deal with the fact that Phillip had faked his death back in 1989! Nina came back to Genoa City late last year to attend Chance and Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) wedding.
There’s buzz that this reunion might mean we’ll see Davidson back on Y&R however, no announcements have been made at press time. Stay tuned.
