Major news outlets were heralding the end of Days of our Lives last fall when the show needed to take a longer break from production due to the fact they were so far ahead on shows. The doomsayers had no idea how the show works and now comes word of when the show will return to production.
According to the Jason47 DAYS Website, the show is heading back into production on Monday, January 27. So, it’s just a few short weeks away when Salem comes back to life in Burbank.
“Sources have stated that “Days of Our Lives” is set to resume production, after an 8.5-week break, on Monday, January 27. This is in addition to the Drake Hogestyn (John) comment he made on Cameo recently about the January 27 return date.”
That is far shorter than the rumored return of April that had been alluded to as the worst-case scenario last fall in various published reports. In fact, according to the Jason47 site, this extended break was only two days longer than the longest previous break the show has taken between the holiday season in 2016 leading into 2017.
Time-Jump Madness
The show will still remain a good eight months ahead, with new shows probably not airing until late summer or early next fall at this point. But considering how the time jump has wreaked havoc with the Salem timeline, this hardly seems to matter. Luckily for fans, it looks like the next couple of weeks will provide answers to some of the biggest questions.
Look to learn what happened to Adrienne (Judi Evans), Tony (Thaao Penghlis), Anna (Leann Hunley), and others in the coming weeks. Also, as previously announced, somehow Orpheus (George DelHoyo) and Summer (Marie Wilson) will figure into the whole thing with storyline points. Stay tuned fo find out how. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
