The justice system in Salem sure is wonky. Stefano never wet to prison for his crimes. Neither did Victor (John Aniston). Neither did Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Neither did Abigail (Kate Mansi). Gabi (Camila Banus) got out pretty fast after killing Nick. So did Jordan (Chrishell Stause) for kidnapping. So did Ben (Robert Scott Wilson)… the first time.
But not Will (Chandler Massey). Will is so sure he’s looking at multiple years behind bars that he is following in the noble soap opera path of granting Sonny (Freddie Smith) to go forth and kiss many mannys.
But is Will even guilty of his crime? Did he really kill Adrienne (Judi Evans)? What over 6,000 have judged:
Will had to have been set up, 90% of the Days of Our Lives fans can’t imagine another scenario. Not only is Will too good to commit murder, but he’s also, let’s be honest, too wishy-washy.
So wishy-washy that it wouldn’t be too hard to convince him he did something he actually didn’t do. Can’t you just see Will looking over the evidence against him and shrugging, “Well, I can’t remember doing this, but, I guess I did. Slap on those cuffs, Hope!”
If you were going to set someone up to take the blame for your crime, wouldn’t you pick Will? And since Sami (Alison Sweeney) can’t be bothered to come help her baby boy, you’re home free!
The only question is left is who set him up, and was Adrienne the ultimate target, or just a tool to get Will… away from Sonny?
A very small 10% is willing to accept that Will did it — even he wouldn’t take the fall otherwise — but you are certain it was an accident. Will is sweet and would never hurt someone deliberately. Especially not Sonny’s mom!
