Sonny and Will are back together on Days Of Our Lives! Yay! Love conquers all! But there’s the minor matter of their divorce. Were those papers ever filed? Did they ever go through? Can’t they be canceled if both parties agree?
So Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey) are still married! Yay! Should they have a wedding or a vow renewal to celebrate the reunion? Over 4,000 fans sent us their RSVPs.
It was a small margin, but 54% went with yes, let’s get this party started! Sonny and Will have been through so much over this past year (we hear – we didn’t really see most of it), a party to celebrate the reflourishing of their love is just what the doctor ordered.
They can dance, eat cake, recite poetry at each other, then have a wedding night redux. Before they ride off into the sunset for a happily ever after… Which we all know is coming, too. But, hey, that’s better than yet another affair and breakup. Or a jail sentence.
A smaller 46% aren’t here for this. How many ceremonies does one couple need? Who do they think they are, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogysten)? Besides, what kind of wedding would it be without Sami (Alison Sweeney) – who couldn’t even come back to town when her son was released from prison, or Adrienne (Judi Evans), who, as far as we know, is still dead.
Plus, Uncle Victor (John Aniston) is in the uncomfortable position of being a great uncle of one groom… and husband of the woman who killed his mother. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) probably won’t come. We know they’re in love, and we’re happy for them.
But a ceremony that doesn’t move the story along isn’t what DAYS needs right now. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
