After a harrowing time worrying about his son David on Days of our Lives, Rafe finally has reason to celebrate, now that he’s brought him home safe and sound. For his portrayer, Galen Gering, the outside world is the harrowing part but things with one of his sons at home are going incredibly well.
Galen Gering Finds A Bright Spot
While remaining safe during California’s stay-at-home order may have some climbing the walls and itching to get out, Gering has found a bright spot to the whole process — he has had the opportunity to join a very special band — with his second son! The actor shared a little video of the experience on Instagram.
“Jammin with Jensen,” he wrote in the caption next to the video of the two of them playing Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Have You Ever Seen the Rain? “Despite almost being kicked outta the band several times by @jensengering I was able to elevate my box drum skills enough to get through this song. I only counted 2 eye rolls during our performance. If this quarantine has a silver lining this was definitely one of those moments that would define it.”
It’s not like Jensen let in an amateur, mind you. After all, his father used to play bass in a band. Jensen, who is turning 12 this coming July, does a pretty great job with his guitar playing. Will these two end up taking their act on the road once everyone in California is allowed to leave home? No matter, they can continue to make beautiful music and create new memories.
As for life in Salem, Rafe survived his brush with a bullet this week but as fans know, Gering had already stopped shooting the soap before production shut down. How will he end up leaving Salem? Stay tuned to find out. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
