On Thursday, Daytime Emmy nominations came out, thrilling everyone in the soap operas community, including fans. But there was one person in particular who was over the moon with excitement — and that was Chrishell Stause, who received her first nomination for her role as Jordan Ridgeway on Days of our Lives in the guest star category.

Chrishell Stause Celebrates

The actress wanted everyone to know how she felt about the nomination — so she recorded a video that captured the thrill of the moment and tweeted it.

“My endless thank yous for this honor to @DaytimeEmmys!! the incredibly talented cast of @nbcdays that made this possible,!! & to every decision-maker that ever decided to give me a job. I am truly grateful!!” she wrote in the caption.

In the video, she said, “I’m so excited. Thank you so much. I literally found out two seconds before I had to join this press junket thing and I’ve been in there until this very moment. So I just wanted to say thank you. I’m so honored to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy amongst some of my favorite peers of all time. Are you kidding?

“Thank you so much,” she continued. “I am so flattered and honored and excited that the Emmys are going to be on CBS. This is a big moment for soaps. All My Children is reunited. I’m just super thankful and grateful and a lot of hard work went into that. I’m just so honored, thank you.

Those peers Stause is referring to are former AMC co-star Michael E. Knight (now Martin on General Hospital), Elissa Kapneck (Sasha), Eva LaRue (Celeste Rosales), and Jeffrey Vincent Parise (Simon Black) — all from The Young and the Restless.

As Jordan on DAYS, Stause had quite a return to Salem where she got into all sorts of trouble — from trying to kill her brother Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and his girlfriend Ciara (Victoria Konefal), as well as confessing to killing her mother — all while trying to mother her young son, David, and stay a step ahead of Rafe (Galen Gering).

Sadly, she met a violent end at the hands of her baby’s father, Evan (Brock Evans) — also known as Christian, the son of Orpheus (George DelHoyo). Find out if Chrishell Stause wins the Daytime Emmy when the show airs on CBS on June 26 at 8 p.m. ET. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
