Days of our Lives News: True O’Brien Brings Paige Back… But How?

Sharp-eyed viewers may have noticed Eve Donovan whip out the picture of her late daughter, Paige, recently on Days of our Lives, so the fact that True O’Brien is reportedly returning to the show isn’t the shock that it could have been… but it comes as welcome news regardless!

True O’Brien Brings Paige Back To Salem

According to Soaps.com, O’Brien is returning to the NBC soap opera, but details are few. For instance, we don’t know if Eve’s (Kassie DePaiva) daughter will be in ghostly form, newly created flashbacks, or possibly alive. (Paging Doctor Rolf?) The latter may seem incredibly odd after all this time, but considering how hard the show has worked to redeem her murderer, would it really be so shocking?

This latest round of drama in the life of a reformed serial killer has done a number on Ben Weston: Paige’s grieving mother has reconditioned him, turning him back into a killer so he will kill his own wife — a woman who means more than anything to him — thereby showcasing the fact that Eve has really lost it in her quest for revenge.

Could a ghostly Paige appear to her mother in the form of her conscience trying to get her to do the right thing? Or could Paige wander by Eve with no memory (a condition that most of those brought back to life by Dr. Rolf seem to suffer from), kicking off a new story in Salem that could let Ben just a little more off the hook?

After all, Eve was sent even farther over the edge when she saw Ben getting his fondest wish in life, that of marrying the woman of his dreams. Her daughter’s killer doesn’t deserve the chance at a happily ever after… but if her daughter is actually still alive, perhaps those who find the pairing hard to swallow will instead find a way to support his redemption?

While it’s not clear which way the show will go, it will be great to see this Daytime-Emmy-winning actress – who was on Days of our Lives from 2014-2015, with a short return for a 2017 Halloween episode – back on our screens again.
