What’s happened to the quality of serial killers on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL)? At least when the Salem Strangler strangled, the victims stayed strangled (fine, except for Marlena; but that was a misunderstanding)!
Then we had that fiasco where it turned out Marlena (Deidre Hall) was a complete failure at obliterating people, and now it would seem that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) is equally incompetent.
It looks like we’re facing not just the return of Will (Chandler Massey), but also Paige, Serena (Do you even remember who she was? Redheaded art thief? That ring any bells)–or are we really? They could be alive OR they could be figments Salem imaginations for just a brief time.

Those folks shouldn’t have been killed off in the first place, insist 55% of you.
They were too important to the canvas (except for Serena, she just wasn’t worth the effort).

Bringing them back is simply fixing past mistakes, giving Sami (Alison Sweeny), Lucas (Bryan Datillo), and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) their children back.
Trick Or Treat
Are we really supposed to take these resurrections seriously so close to Halloween, wonder the cynical 44%? This whole thing is just a big tease.
Maybe they’ll come back as ghosts. Or figments of Lucas’ ongoing drunken imagination. Or, hey, maybe it’s zombies! Everyone loves zombies! Why should only cable channels be allowed to have them? Maybe we’re about to experience a Salem Night of the Living Dead?
Oh, OK, fine, we’ll take the returns seriously even if they’re brief. Maybe the necktie victims will return to the land of the living. But they better do something really interesting to make it worth your while.
