Days of our Lives fans are still reeling over the news that Greg Vaughan will be leaving his longtime role as Eric Brady, and the actor is grateful for all of their love and support, opening up about his September exit a lot lately.
But Vaughan was not thinking about that on Monday. Instead, the actor turned all his attention to the love of his life—Angie Harmon, who was celebrating a birthday.
“If I were to live a hundred lifetimes, or wish among the thousands of stars, far beyond the eyes can see…I’d find you… & I’d always chose you!!” Vaughan wrote on Instagram next to a beautiful photo of the actress. “May all your wishes & dreams keep coming true!!”
It’s not unusual for Vaughan to send praise to Harmon, as his Instagram account includes hordes of posts proclaiming his love for her and the importance of their “Brady Bunch” coupling of six kids together.
Vaughan and Harmon’s story is one of destiny. They both grew up in the Dallas area not too far from one another, but never met, even though they both modeled at the same time. They would eventually meet—not in their home state, but on a modeling assignment in Italy!
While they didn’t start dating for many years after, the two knew they had a special bond. Upon reconnecting, Vaughan was a single dad raising sons Jathan James, Cavan Thomas, and Landan Reid, while Harmon was a single mom raising Finley Faith, Avery Grace, and Emery Hope. They dated for a few years and became engaged this past Christmas.
The Daytime Emmy winner doesn’t have much time left on the show, and although it’s unclear how Eric will be written out, especially since his on-screen love Nicole isn’t going anywhere that we know of, fans are going to need to take a deep breath when that time comes. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
