Family has always been important to Days of our Lives alum A Martinez, and the soap veteran always makes sure to tell those he loves how important they are to him.
That was certainly the case Sunday as the actor took to Instagram to post a lovely birthday wish for his daughter, also promoting her latest endeavor in the process.
“Today is the birthday of our precious daughter Ren,” he wrote next to a photo of father and daughter. “Rumor has it that her debut full-length album is close to being completed, as produced by the magical [Brian Robert Jones].”
Music enthusiasts know that Jones is a guitarist for Vampire Weekend and has played bass for Gwen Stefani. He’s known for his virtuosic guitar solos.
“As anyone who’s heard Ren’s music will attest, a new offering is cause for great celebration,” Martinez said.
The photo Martinez posted has special meaning to the actor, as he explains it was taken in the lobby of a movie house last summer, a time before the worry of COVID and fires and all that’s happening in our world today.
“Today we spit on the ugliness of the most brutal pollution in memory, and gathered in Elysian Park, socially-distanced style, for wine and cupcakes and presents, talking and watching the squirrels,” Martinez shared. “I’m grateful for moments of communion in the midst of so much chaos, and remain prayerful for deliverance to a world that finally feels sustainable. If we do not change course — as my body and spirit whisper ever more urgently — we will soon be lost.”
With Rafe and Gabi both coming back to Salem full-time, maybe Eduardo will join them. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
