Days of Our Lives Wild Speculation: How To Fix Haley’s Mega Mess Story

As Days Of Our Lives insists on going through with their preachy Haley-Is-An-Illegal-Immigrant-Oh-Nos story, despite the fact that her sister, the lawyer, could have fixed it years ago in multiple ways like a student visa, special talents visa, green card lottery — we peer deep into our crystal ball…and predict how it all will play out:

Next Verse, Same As the First
We realize DAYS is patting itself on the back for telling such a topical tale — ignoring the fact that it’s been a soap staple for many a presidential term, including, most recently, on their own show with Abigail (then-Marci Miller) and Dario (Jordi Vilasuso).

In this case, Dario was somehow not a citizen, while brother Rafe (Galen Gering) and sister Gabi (Camila Banus), were.

But, in every case, the problem was solved via a quickie green-card marriage. And, that will probably happen here, but with a twist.

With Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) acting like such a brat today, and the revelation of her trying to set Ciara (Victoria Konefal) on fire imminent, Tripp (Lucas Adams) is likely to get so upset about the injustice of it, he’ll go off half-cocked and marry Haley (Thia Megia) – to… uhm, even it out.

Love, Look Away
Haley, meanwhile, will remember her feelings for JJ (Casey Moss), forgive him for spilling to Jack (Matthew Ashford) and there will be pining.

Much, much pining. Not to mention lots of close calls, lies, and loud discussions about their big secret in public places. You all know the drill.

Deus Ex Machina
But, just when Hayley is caught, her marriage declared a fraud, and all hope seems lost, Melinda (Laura Kai Che) will step forward and admit that Haley isn’t her sister — she’s her daughter!

Why else would we have all the incidents of people thinking she’s Haley’s mother and Melinda overreacting to the preposterous idea?

It will turn out that Hayley was either born in the US, then shipped off to China to be raised by her grandparents or that Melinda had become a US citizen before she gave birth to Hayley in secret back in China. (Hayley told JJ her ‘sister’ was already in the States when she was a baby.)

So, then problem solved  — and our time wasted.
