Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.
The week of August 26, 2019
Two major players are being written off the soap. Nadia Bjorlin, who has had little screen time, let alone a storyline in recent months, is leaving Salem as Chloe Lane. The character will receive a “life-changing offer,” likely of the job variety, that prompts her to make the move.
Bjorlin was originally cast on Days in 1999 and has returned for various stints over the years. She rejoined the show in 2016. Her last air date is Thursday, August 29.
Also, in a surprise move, Lucas Adams is exiting the soap as Tripp Dalton, after being featured prominently in front-burner storyline over the past year. His character will decide to head out of town to attend medical school.
Adams joined Days in 2016 as the surprise love child of Steve (Stephen Nichols) and the late Ava (Tamara Braun). He makes his last appearance on Thursday, August 29. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
