Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

Days of Our Lives: Week of October 7, 2019

Two more actors are heading out the exit door. Brandon Barash is set to meet his demise as Stefan O. DiMera, which means the end of the line for the character. However, it is Salem, the land of super serums and resurrections. So can you ever really count anyone out… permanently? Just saying…

Barash took over the role in March of 2019. He replaced Tyler Christopher, who left the show for personal reasons. Also, departing is Robin Strasser, who debuted as Vivian Alamain back in September. The character was originally portrayed by Louise Sorel. Look for the actress to make her last appearance on Monday, October 7, when Viv simply slips out of Salem.

Twins Oakley and Taytum Fisher are playing Holly Jonas, the daughter of Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and the late Daniel (Shawn Christian.

Days of Our Lives History

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and the longest-running of the daytime soap operas still on the air. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines has kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

DOOL’s Salem Drama Unleashed

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air.  The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
