Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite
performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of June 22, 2020

After a short absence, Stacy Haiduk pops back in as Kristen DiMera on Friday, June 26. Look for the character to arrive on her best friend Lani’s (Sal Stowers) doorstep on the day of her wedding to Eli (Lamon Archey).

Also on hand for the nuptials will be Vanessa Williams as Eli’s mother, Valerie Grant. Williams last appeared on the soap back in February, when Lani and Eli first attempted to get married.

Billy Davis, Jr. is also reprising his role as Billy, Eli’s former FBI mentor. Like Williams, he last aired in October at Lani and Eli’s first thwarted wedding ceremony.

Meanwhile, on the Jake criminal front, Chuma Gault is playing Jimmy, the thug who snatched Gabi from Jake’s (Brand Barash) apartment. James Black is portraying Luca, another henchman involved in the kidnapping.

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
