The week of July 27, 2020
Another week, another big Salem exit announcement –or rather two big Salem announcements. Greg Vaughan broke the news that he’s leaving the soap as Eric Brady, a role he debuted in back in 2012, on the podcast LUCKY in Low Country.
Next up was Victoria Konefal. It’s now confirmed that she will also be leaving the soap. “The experience and knowledge I’ve accumulated over the past three years is irreplaceable, and I’m forever grateful for it. I would love the opportunity to continue working with my castmates in the future, but at this time I will not be returning as a full-time cast member,” the actress said in a statement.
James Read is back as Clyde Weston, Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) convict dad on Tuesday, July 28. He’ll share scenes with Victoria Konefal’s Ciara, who pays him a visit to question him about her missing groom’s disappearance. Read made his last appearance on the soap in April.
Remington Hoffman returns as Li Shin, son of longtime DiMera Enterprises board member Mr. Shin (Michael Hagiwara), this week. He’ll share scenes with Camila Banus’ Gabi and Billy Flynn’s Chad. Hoffman, who first appeared in the role of Li on the DOOL App series, last aired on the soap in April. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
