Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives (DOOL)?
Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in con-tract, recurring or day player roles?
Are any well remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts?
Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.
The week of July 2, 2018
Stacy Haiduk, remembered as Patty Williams on The Young and the Restless, has joined Days as a major recast. Word is she’s playing Susan Banks, one of the many characters Eileen Davidson created on the soap.
Big news on the exit front. The soap and Stephen Nichols couldn’t come to terms on a new contract, so the actor has opted to leave Days.
In fact, Nichols actually finished taping scenes as Steve Johnson in April. No word as to how the move will affect his TV wife Mary Beth Evans (Kayla).
Greg Rikaart wraps up his run as the conniving Leo Stark this week. Look for the character to meet his demise after a fight with Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey).
James Read resurfaces as Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) father, Clyde Weston, on Friday, July 6. The actor also appears as Finn and Chase’s dad, Gregory Chase, on General Hospital.
Sal Stowers inked a new deal with the soap to remain as Lani Price.
