The week of August 17, 2020
After nine years away from the soap, Jay Kenneth Johnson returns as Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Victor’s (John Aniston) son, Philip Kiriakis, a role he played from 1999 to 2002 and 2007 to 2011. The character last appeared in December of 2016, when he left town after betraying his father. At the time Philip was portrayed by John-Paul Lavoisier and the character had an affair with Belle (Martha Madison).
However, we did see Johnson as Philip on the DOOL App series, The Last Blast Reunion in 2018. That reunion took place in New York City, not Salem.
Australian actress Isabel Durant has officially taken over the role of Claire Brady, replacing Olivia Rose Keegan, who left to take a role in a primetime series. Durant’s credits include a role in the film Life Itself as well as a guest appearance on the primetime series, This Is Us.
After a short Days of Our Lives absence, Suzanne Rogers is back on the Salem canvas as Maggie Horton Kiriakis. She begins airing again on Wednesday, August 19. Perhaps Maggie needed her own break after the drama of the last year that left her behind bars and trying to take her life. Thankfully, Xander rescued her. Please note that air dates may be subject to change. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
