Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite
performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of June 8, 2020

Brandon Beemer and Martha Madison are back as Shawn and Belle Brady on Monday June 8 to deal with daughter Claire’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) pending release from Bayview. Madison last appeared in July of 2019. Beemer was on the show earlier this year, when his character helped uncover Hope’s (Kristian) hijacking by Princess Gina.

Also returning to Salem for another story arc is Bryan R. Dattilo. The actor makes his first appearance as Lucas Horton on Wednesday, June 10. Dattilo was last seen in October of 2019.

Lindsay Arnold joins the cast as Allie Horton, Lucas and Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) now-teenage daughter on Thursday, June 11. A newcomer to daytime, Arnold’s credits include guest spots on Blindspot and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The character, last seen in 2014, had been portrayed by Carolyn and Campbell Rose.

Meanwhile, exiting the soap is Alyshia Ochse as attorney Zoey Burge. Her last air date is Wednesday, June 10.

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
