The week of May 4, 2020
Time to say goodbye to Kate Mansi, again. The actress, who returned to the soap as Abigail Deveraux DiMera in November of 2019 will be wrapping up her DAYS visit. She exits later this month.
Alyshia Ochse is taking over the role of Zoey Burge, Orpheus’ (George DelHoyo) daughter and Evan’s (Brock Kelly) sister/lawyer. She begins airing on Thursday, May 7. The actress’ credits include the role of DA Sarah Foreman on the web series #Freerayshawn, as well as guest spots on The Purge and NCIS: Los Angeles. Ochse previously played a nurse named Sarah on DAYS back in 2009.
Kelly Thiebaud, who originated the role of Zoey, makes her last appearance on Wednesday, May 6. The role was recast due to a scheduling conflict.
Days of our Lives History
DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
Bringing the Drama
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
