Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.
Here comes trouble. George DelHoyo is set to reprise his role as Orpheus — aka Milo Harp. The former ISA agent turned villain last appeared on the soap in 2016, during a prison break storyline involving Clyde (James Read) and Paul Telfer (Xander). At the time, the character was pronounced dead, after being shot by Steve (Stephen Nichols).
Look for Orpheus to make his first appearance later this month. There’s no word as to how he’ll fit into the plot or how long he’ll be on the canvas this time around.
Another Salem baddie is also heading back to town. After being sent away by “Stefano” in January, Will Utay will return as Dr. Rolf in February. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
