Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives (DOOL) for the week of October 14-18, 2019? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of October 14, 2019

After several years as a recurring player, Wally Kurth is back on contract as Justin Kiriakis. Kurth shared the good news on social media. Word is he’ll be involved in a powerful front burner storyline when the show embarks on its time-jump twist, next month.

Coincidentally, Kurth’s longtime onscreen love interest, Judi Evans (Adrienne), has not announced a comparable contract move, which could mean their characters are once again moving forward in opposite directions. Or not…

Leann Hunley pops back as Anna DiMera on Monday, October 14. Look for the character to share scenes with Josh Taylor (Rome).

Bogdan Yasinski turns up as the pizza delivery guy on Wednesday, October 16. He’ll interact with Chrishell Hartley, who plays Jordan Ridgeway.

Days of Our Lives History

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and the longest-running of the daytime soap operas still on the air. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

DOOL’s Salem Drama Unleashed

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
