“We got lucky,” says Flynn. “You can’t ask for a better situation, because Abby’s literally a different person. She had a crisis. She had a breakdown. She lost her mind. She left. She faked her death. Now she’s coming back, and she’s an entirely different person.
“Plus, Chad’s grown, as she’s grown,” continues Flynn. “He’s matured. So you have two people who literally don’t know each other, just like Marci and me. Chad and Abigail, even though they’re soulmates, they don’t know each other anymore. It’s made [the transition] easy.”
Getting to Know You
The storyline turn made it exceptionally easy for Flynn and Miller to connect as Chad and Abigail reconnect.
“Marci and I got to come in, and we got to learn about each other and the characters,” notes Flynn. “I got to see who her Abigail is, what Abigail transitioned into, and her inherent qualities. I got to just be in the moment and be present with her. Her Abigail was her Abigail. That’s what developed.”
So far, it seems to be working… perfectly.
