Days of our Lives fans are getting a big treat this holiday season, as the former Bo Brady, Peter Reckell, is a featured singer on a brand-new Christmas album entitled Joy. The popular actor took to Twitter this weekend to talk about the song, the album it appears on, and his recent move to New Zealand.

“Creating the JOY album, singing again, has been very rewarding,” Reckell said. “I will talk about that, the move to NZ, and what’s happening with DOOL, this weekend during the Qand A. I’ll post the times tomorrow at (BlueAeris.com).”
On the compilation album, which was produced by Reckell’s wife Kelly Moneymaker and Kehan Miller, he sings a new tune penned by his love called Under The Mistletoe.
The album, part of the Blue Aeris label, boasts a joyous mix of original and classic songs across multiple genres and is a community-building project between New Zealand and international music artists featuring celebrated musicians and new up-and-coming talent.
Moneymaker also took to Twitter to preview the album and discussed her husband’s singing with a fan, telling her “he was nervous about singing again!” and thanking everyone for the outpouring of support he was already receiving.
Reckell posted a little more about the album as well, explaining the price of the songs would be going up after Thanksgiving and he was happy to be returning to music again.
“I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but we all can use a bit more JOY in our day,” Reckell wrote. “Take a listen and I’m sure at least one of the songs will lift your spirits. http://Blueaeris.com.Videos will be out soon.”
He also asked fans to chime in on “what song brings JOY to you.” We think we all know what song DAYS fans are going to choose! If the Twitter comments are any indication, Blue Aeris should consider a new Christmas album next year entitled, “Holiday Hits by Bo Brady!” Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
