Jen Lilley Alison Sweeney Days of Our Lives
The Hallmark Channel is known for keeping people in the Christmas mood all season by airing a plethora of Christmas-themed love stories starting on Halloween and going through the new year. Days of our Lives stars Alison Sweeney (Sami) and Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa) are two Hallmark leading ladies who are taking part in a new contest presented by Hallmark that benefits the USO and Toys for Tots.
The contest, entitled Operation Christmas is Not Cancelled, offers people the chance to donate and win “the ultimate Christmas” with a prize package that includes a tree, decorations, gifts, and $1,500.
Sweeney posted a video on her Instagram account featuring some of Hallmark’s “favorite holiday movie darlings” talking about how in the year where everything has been canceled, Christmas is not, and provide details on the contest.
“Christmas is NOT Cancelled,” she posted. “Go to Christmasisnotcancelled.com (link in bio) to buy a toy for a child in need and enter to win your dream Christmas + prizes each week leading up to the ultimate prize on December 11th.”
Sweeney is set to star in the upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie, Good Morning Christmas! alongside Marc Blucas. The story follows two squabbling TV hosts who are sent to a festive small town over the holidays and must pretend to get along for the sake of appearances. With a little help from Christmas magic, the pair discovers there’s more to each other than either had thought. The movie premieres on Nov. 25.
Meanwhile, Lilley, who is no stranger to the Hallmark Christmas family with five holiday films already to her credit, is continuing on her Christmas movie path starring in the upcoming USS Christmas, which will premiere on Nov. 28.
In the film, Lilley takes on the role of a reporter for a Norfolk newspaper who embarks on a cruise during Christmas. There, she meets a handsome naval officer, who is played by Trevor Donovan. Lilley posted a video on her Instagram account as well, along with the message, “We are on a mission to save Christmas! Go to ChristmasIsNotCancelled.com to join us!” Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
