Soap stories either crawl or fly by. However, sometimes we have to miss big developments. Never fear, Soap Hub is here to fill you in on what you missed last week on Days of Our Lives.
D-I-V-O-R-C-E
Catching Rafe (Galen Gering) and Lani (Sal Stowers) during a cozy moment with baby David, and seeing that Rafe was no longer wearing his wedding, led Hope (Kristian Alfonso) to call Belle and ask her to draw up divorce papers.
They arrived at Rafe’s door and the dejected G-Man tearfully signed the document and returned it to his spouse. Distraught over his quickness in signing their union away, Hope also added her signature.
On A Slow Boat To China
Her admission to defrauding the state via a sham marriage to Tripp (Lucas Adams) landed Haley (Thia Megia) in hot legal waters and, much to the delight of ICE agent Laverne Smith (Stacie Greenwell), a judge sentenced her to be deported back to China.
The events were made all the more shocking when Melinda (Laura Kai Chen) declared that she was, in reality, Haley’s biological mother!
The Votes Are In
Not even the sight of JJ (Casey Moss) slugging his father in the middle of the town square could deter Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) followers from voting him into office. With much trepidation, Abe called Mayor Elect Deveraux and conceded defeat.
JJ happened upon the ICE agents escorting Haley to her China-bound flight and asked to say goodbye. The two young lovers bid each other adieu but seemingly out of nowhere JJ shoved Tripp into the way of the agents and he and Haley made a mad dash out into the night.
Partners In Crime
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) grieved her daughter’s death and spent her time admonishing every single person she found in her sights. She railed at Eric (Greg Vaughn) for not keeping his word to her and allowing Chloe( Nadia Bjorlin) to take Holly.
She also pointedly told Chloe that she was responsible for Holly’s death because of her insistence on keeping the child even when a violent drug cartel had her marked for execution.
Things looked even bleaker for Nicole when Xander (Paul Telfer) revealed that he still had the recording of her confession to offing Deimos. However, Brady (Eric Martsolf) was able to secure its return AND signed divorce papers all for the price of hiring Xander at Titan.
In the end, that appeared to all be apart of Nicole’s devious plan as she and Xander toasted to their mutual success!
