Will Tripp Ever Forgive Steve on Days of Our Lives (DOOL)?

Tripp viewed an emotional DVD from his late mother Ava on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), explaining how Steve abandoned her while she was pregnant, after promising to love her forever.

It paints Steve in a horrible light, while making Ava (Tamara Braun) appear to be a fragile damsel in distress. Tripp immediately decided his mother was a kind caring woman, who had her heart broken.

Of course, the truth of the matter is that Ava was anything but! She was calculating, crazy and a master manipulator, who wreaked havoc on the Johnson family.

And it all led to her murder by Joey (James Lastovic). Poor Steve fears his blossoming bond with his newfound son has been irreparably damaged. Soap Hub asked fans if you think Tripp will ever forgive Steve, after hearing Ava’s words. Some 4,000 of you weighed in.

Maybe, In Time
It’s too soon to tell how this complicated mess will pan out, but 44% of you think that Tripp could forgive Steve (Stephen Nichols) in time. At the moment, Tripp’s head is filled with sympathy for his mother, having watched the heartfelt video she made for him while she was pregnant.

It’s the first and only “contact” he’s ever had with his bio mom, and he desperately wants to believe her. However, in time, Tripp will come to his senses, see Ava for who she really was, and turn back to Steve.

Yes, They’re Father and Son
Meanwhile, 40% of fans firmly believe father and son will find a way to get through this. Tripp (Lucas Adams) knows that Steve went all out to find him and bring him back to Salem, so he could get to know his family.

And, for the most part, Steve has been straightforward and honest with Tripp, while trying to shield him from the painful truths about Ava.

As more information comes out about Ava, you’re sure Tripp will come to realize that Steve is a good guy and the parent he should believe and trust.

No, They’re Doomed
Tripp’s bound to hold Ava on a pedestal, wanting to believe his late mother was a wonderful person who would never lie. What child wouldn’t?

As a result, 16% of you think he’ll never forgive Steve for abandoning Ava, no matter how many facts Steve provides to the contrary. Steve will have no choice but to realize he’ll never have the relationship he longs for with Tripp.
