Healing Heart
Eric (Greg Vaughan) knows a little bit about having to live with a horrible decision that has lasting repercussions. After all, his driving drunk cost him his best friend’s life and his freedom for a while.
So, when he finds out that Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) son JJ (Casey Moss) is living with enormous guilt Eric knows what he needs to do.
JJ’s been struggling since he shot Theo (Kyler Pettis) thinking he was an intruder. Eric lends a shoulder and offers advice as he tries to help JJ deal with his guilt.
Will JJ be open to hearing what Eric has to say or is he too depressed for Eric to reach?

Abe (James Reynolds) is someone else who is having a hard time processing what JJ did — to his son. But also realizes he may not be the most objective person on the subject so Abe questions Eli (Lamon Archey) about the investigation into Theo’s shooting.

Protective Daddy
Doug (Bill Hayes) loves Hope with all of his heart. He has seen her hurt over and over again, and it’s the last thing he wants her to ever have to go through again.
Now that she and Rafe are back together, Doug decides to take it upon himself (and really, who else would?) to give Rafe a stern warning. Of course, Doug may be a little late to the party on this one.
