The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, October 1 features Kristen taunting Marlena before she prepares to kill her in revenge.
For The Love of Marlena
John (Drake Hogestyn) was smothered in a kiss by Hattie, amusing Belle (Martha Madison) and Abe (James Reynolds). Hattie then asked Abe to sign the marriage license but hid her name.
John tried to get Abe alone, but “Marlena” stopped him. Once alone, Hattie wanted to consummate the marriage. John told her no way and she later fessed up that gun-wielding Kristen visited her.
Woman Scorned
Marlena (Deidre Hall) woke up to find Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) with a gun, taunting her — furious that she ruined her life by taking away John and ruining things with Brady. As she readied to shoot, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) interrupted.
Kayla then stepped between them and Kristen was willing to kill her too. Kayla tried to talk her down as Roman (Josh Taylor) came up behind her. They struggled for the gun and it went off.
The Art of the Deal
Sami (Alison Sweeney) grilled Stefan (Tyler Christopher) about EJ. She played on his being an expectant father, saying EJ would want to be with his kids. Sami warned him that Kristen is a backstabber.

Moving Forward
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) asked Tripp (Lucas Adams) to make love to her. After he voiced his fear she may feel she owes him, Ciara dragged him into her room.
They shared food in the afterglow, and were shocked when Ben later showed up.
Rafe (Galen Gering) told Hope (Kristian Alfonso) that Shawn found out that Ben’s fingerprint on the can was transferred to it.
Hope worried he thought it was her and she admitted she feared it was too convenient. Rafe told her they need to find out who did it — and let Ben go.
